Canary Database curators add value to existing indexing of
sentinel studies in other bibliographic database in several
ways. Below is a sample record showing "Canary data",
the additional curated indexing provided by Canary Database
curators.
Animal-Human Health Linkages are indicated for every
curated study, to give you a sense of the relevance to
human health of data presented in the study.
Controlled Vocabularies such as MeSH, the NCBI
Taxonomy, ITIS, and the GNS Gazeteer are used extensively
to index exposures, outcomes, species, and locations
studied within curated records.
Study Methodologies are indicated by curators for
curated records, using a consistent algorithm for determining
